Why Caravex

Six Reasons Fleet Managers Pick Us

1

Rail-Yard Certified Crews

Every crew is briefed on yard safety, blue-flag procedures, high-voltage catenary awareness, and radio protocols before first deployment. No yard manager has to train us.

2

Mobile On-Site Operations

We bring the wash to your yard, your depot, your terminal. Hot-water pressure rigs, reclaim systems, detergent carts, generators — all self-contained. No cars or units get moved for cleaning.

3

Environmental Runoff Capture

Every wash site gets a containment berm, absorbent boom, and reclaim-water pumping back to drums. No runoff to municipal storm drains. Every discharge tracked and manifested.

4

Scheduled Routes

Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly routes for fleet operators. Your cars and units get cleaned on a calendar, not on request. Show up to a clean fleet Monday morning.

5

Photo-Documented Service

Every unit cleaned is photo-documented before and after. Delivered as a PDF report per visit. Your maintenance team has the record for asset tracking.

6

Insured for Rail

$10M general liability with rail-yard endorsement. Certificates to ISNetworld, Avetta, ComplyWorks. Lessor and Class-I rail procurement friendly.

FAQ

Caravex Rail & Fleet Services in Vancouver — Frequently Asked Questions

Do you clean rail cars on the car owner's yard?+

Yes. Caravex operates entirely mobile. We bring self-contained hot-water pressure rigs, detergent carts, generators, and reclaim systems to your yard, siding, depot, or terminal. We do not move rail cars for cleaning — we come to them.

How do you handle wash water and runoff?+

Every wash site gets a containment berm and absorbent boom set up before water flows. Runoff is pumped into sealed drums, manifested, and hauled to a licensed treatment facility. No discharge to municipal storm drains. Tracking paperwork delivered with every invoice.

Are your crews cleared for rail-yard work?+

Yes. Every crew is trained on rail-yard safety including blue-flag procedures, three-point contact, high-voltage catenary awareness, yard radio protocols, and Class-I rail contractor safety. We maintain registrations with ISNetworld, Avetta and ComplyWorks.

Do you do tank cars, boxcars, hoppers, locomotives?+

Yes to all. Tank car exteriors with DOT-compliant detergents. Boxcars, hoppers, gondolas, flatcars exterior wash and interior sweep-out. Locomotive exterior wash including radiator fin cleaning. Interior locomotive cab cleaning on request.

Do you do bus and truck fleets too?+

Yes. Transit bus interior and exterior, long-haul truck fleet exterior and interior, refrigerated trailer sanitation, refuse truck deep wash. Same mobile model — we come to your yard, overnight or scheduled.

What is the turnaround per unit?+

Exterior wash on a rail car or locomotive: 20-35 minutes per unit. Transit bus interior plus exterior: 45-60 minutes. Tractor-trailer exterior: 15-25 minutes. Multiple rigs can run in parallel on larger yards for higher throughput.

Do you work overnight?+

Yes — most fleet wash work happens between midnight and 6am because that is when equipment is in yard. Overnight is standard operating mode, not a premium.
