Rail car and fleet wash in Canada, mobile and runoff-compliant.
Caravex runs mobile rail car, locomotive, bus and truck fleet wash operations with rail-yard-trained crews, containment-and-reclaim runoff capture, and photo-documented compliance reports. Scheduled routes or on-demand.
Your wash vendor has never set foot in a rail yard.
Open hoses into storm drains. No containment. No safety brief. No photo record of what was actually cleaned. Your compliance officer and your yard manager both have the same question: who just washed these cars?
Mobile rigs. Rail-trained crews. Runoff captured every time.
Rail-yard certified technicians, self-contained wash rigs, reclaim-water systems as standard operating procedure, photo report delivered before the crew leaves your site.

Real Results for Real Fleets
Lessor with 300+ rail cars across 4 yards had previous vendor using open-hose wash — municipal storm drain violations were adding up.
Containment berm and reclaim system deployed on every wash. Zero violations in the first 12 months. Quarterly compliance report to the lessor's regulatory team.
City transit authority was moving 60 buses to a third-party wash bay nightly — 14 hours of non-revenue mileage per week per bus.
Mobile wash crew on site overnight at depot. Buses clean in yard, ready for first service. 10 hours/week of non-revenue mileage recovered per bus.
Bulk commodity shipper needed food-grade interior wash on rail cars between loads — previous vendor quoted 3-day turnaround.
Dedicated interior wash crew on 4-hour turnaround with food-safe detergents and temperature-logged cleaning. Cars back in service same day.
Trusted by Fleet Managers Across Canada
Runoff capture is finally not a box we have to check for them — it is the way they work. That is the first vendor where that is true.
Every car gets photographed. I have a PDF file of every wash for every car in the fleet. That is unheard of in this space.
They showed up, they were briefed, they knew where to stand. First vendor we did not have to re-orient to rail-yard safety.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you clean rail cars on the car owner's yard?+
Yes. Caravex operates entirely mobile. We bring self-contained hot-water pressure rigs, detergent carts, generators, and reclaim systems to your yard, siding, depot, or terminal. We do not move rail cars for cleaning — we come to them.
How do you handle wash water and runoff?+
Every wash site gets a containment berm and absorbent boom set up before water flows. Runoff is pumped into sealed drums, manifested, and hauled to a licensed treatment facility. No discharge to municipal storm drains. Tracking paperwork delivered with every invoice.
Are your crews cleared for rail-yard work?+
Yes. Every crew is trained on rail-yard safety including blue-flag procedures, three-point contact, high-voltage catenary awareness, yard radio protocols, and Class-I rail contractor safety. We maintain registrations with ISNetworld, Avetta and ComplyWorks.
Do you do tank cars, boxcars, hoppers, locomotives?+
Yes to all. Tank car exteriors with DOT-compliant detergents. Boxcars, hoppers, gondolas, flatcars exterior wash and interior sweep-out. Locomotive exterior wash including radiator fin cleaning. Interior locomotive cab cleaning on request.
Do you do bus and truck fleets too?+
Yes. Transit bus interior and exterior, long-haul truck fleet exterior and interior, refrigerated trailer sanitation, refuse truck deep wash. Same mobile model — we come to your yard, overnight or scheduled.
What is the turnaround per unit?+
Exterior wash on a rail car or locomotive: 20-35 minutes per unit. Transit bus interior plus exterior: 45-60 minutes. Tractor-trailer exterior: 15-25 minutes. Multiple rigs can run in parallel on larger yards for higher throughput.
Do you work overnight?+
Yes — most fleet wash work happens between midnight and 6am because that is when equipment is in yard. Overnight is standard operating mode, not a premium.
Standards We Operate Under
A Wash Operation Built for Rail Yards and Fleet Depots.
Caravex was started by operators who worked with rail lessors and transit authorities and watched wash vendors fail the same three tests again and again: yard safety, runoff compliance, and photo-documented accountability.
Caravex is built around those three things. Mobile rigs, trained crews, runoff-captured every time, photo report before the crew leaves the yard.
